A Personal Message
To the Friends, Clients, and customers of Lubos Naprstek, Luthier
For some unknown time now, I have been victimized by identity theft. My login details for my email account were stolen and consequently my email correspondence has been liable to corruption, undermining my business.
I believe the perpetrator is likely a disgruntled, former guitar dealer, who, among other disagreements, did not want me to sell my guitars at my workshop. My emails were checked several times a day, and sometimes answered by this individual in a negative, counterproductive, or even profane manner. Potential clients, fellow luthiers, and guitar suppliers were all mislead, in an effort to damage my reputation. I have tried to identify the perpetrator using available technology but without success, considering my limited resources.
On a happier note, from February 2011 my guitars are in the good hands of Beverly Maher at the guitarsalon.com. Unfortunately, my new relationship with Beverly was nearly sabotaged by the actions of this person, who attempted to destroy our first meeting.
Thus, some of you may have received email from me, which I did not authorize and was sent to ruin my honest efforts. If you have received email that seemed out of character or negative, please be certain that it did not originate from me. Please discard this trash and don’t hesitate to contact me, again. Trust it will be me who answers.
Sincerely,
Lubos Naprstek, Luthier
